Ministers also reviewed the progress made since our last meeting in October last year and approved one of key strategic planning documents, Political Guidance 19 and thus started new cycle of NATO’s Defence Planning Process. The second day started with unformal breakfast under the auspices of United Kingdom, attended by Ukrainian defence minister Stepan Poltorak and continued with the discussion regarding the future of NATO’s International Operations and Missions. The last session was devoted to meeting with High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini as well as representatives of Sweden and Finland. Together, they focused on European Defence Initiatives and further strategic partnership and cooperation between NATO and the EU.
